It is painful to be obliged to speak of a practice, regrettably common among misguided young men, who, for the sake of the pleasurable sensations experienced, artificially arouse their generative organs to the acme of activity. This is variously known as self-abuse, self-pollution, masturbation, and onanism. To a normal mind this habit is so grossly offensive as to excite intense disgust. From the hygienic point of view it is at best a reckless and unjustifiable waste of precious energy; at worst, it may cause physical and mental wreck. On this matter, however, it is very important that I be not misunderstood. It is undoubtedly true that the habit may continue years without producing noticeable deterioration of health; but, even in these cases of apparent exemption from serious consequences, there is likely to be established such a perversion of the generative nature as to unfit the sufferer for the sexual functions that should find their fullest and most valuable expression in the relations of the marital state. He, who delights himself by plucking all the blossoms from his tree, should not expect the pleasures that atted the gathering of fruit. In general, the health is not ruined, as is alleged in the quack advertisements that deface and disgrace some journals that are allowed to enter our homes, but the fact remains that the practice is low, filthy, bestial, and degrading.

Whatever may be said in depreciation of self-pollution, it immediately injures only the person who practices it, and by so much is less evil than a method of sensual gratification that involves another. That is far from excusing it - it is merely equivalent to saying that one who squanders what is his own, does less harm that on who robs another of his fortune, which he can never replace. The solitary vice, being vice, is bad; but the social evil is vastly more vicious.

He's Got A Soft Spot for Sexy Burlesque

No strip clubs for me. I long for the days of yore when a show was a show. (Did I just say yore?) I've only been to a few strip clubs in my day and I guess the stripping took place backstage. Not to complain about naked beauties too much, but I'd like to be able to bring my imagination with me for the event.

That's where burlesque comes in. Burlesque delivers me no guarantees of nakedness. What it does guarantee is my money's worth. The accompanying music is carefully selected, the outfits are chosen with every sexy detail regarded and the emphasis is on the dance. Burlesque gives me art with my excitement. There's a local act that I've yet to see but long for the opportunity.

Today's New York Times featured a story on artist Julie Atlas Muz. I'd never heard of her before and was happy to check out her site. On the link below, you'll see a page link to a video of one of her sexy shows. The part at the end with her silhouette behind a large white sheet gives me ideas for a future HNT with my beautiful wife. Sounds like a fun challenge.

So, I've been thinking.......

I've been thinking about doing some writing. This would surprise most people I know including my husband. LOL I have read some erotica recently and it has me thinking of sharing my own. I've had stories running around inside my head for a long time and have even written some(years ago). This is going to surprise the "him" half of this duo the most. I've never shared these stories with anyone before and I'm a little hesitant to share them now. I guess it's because writing is so very personal and putting it out there just invites criticism. I'm not sure I'm ready for that. So we will see where this thought goes.

This Blog is Still Looking for its Voice

I love that my wife and I are doing this blog together. It's nice to be a part of a community that is so kind and encouraging. These two bodies are not perfect but that doesn't mean that they are not beautiful. And this community of HNTers is a group that gets that. Busy schedules keep us from the time together that most couples would like, but I feel like if we just keep working at life, we'll get to the part where we get to relax and be together more. Daily life struggles can be tough, but like the candidate says, we're "in it to win it." The symbols around our fingers signify that it's all worth the work.

As for this blog, I want it to be about more than pictures. We look forward to HNT each week and it will probably be the highlight for us each Wednesday night when it comes time for posting, but I'm still trying to figure out what to fill it with on those six other days. She'll have her posts and I'll have mine. Will we use this space to bitch about work? Will we vent about those personal things we don't want our families to read? Will we be even braver and write about our sexual intimacies? Time will tell.

I can totally understand the second one. It's sad that it seems so necessary for some spouses. Thankfully, even though our busy schedules don't allow us much time together for intimate conversations, our relationship is strong and we both listen well if one of us just needs to talk or feel loved.

As for the first article, I wonder what I could do if I decided to do something related to sex for money. There's no way I could work as a male prostitute, but with the blessing of my wife (and assurance that other family members would never find out), I'm sure there are things I would enjoy doing to bring extra income home. I would have no problem being photographed nude, though I'm not sure I have the body for it. (Heck, I'm doing that here for free.) But I wonder about the grey area. Interesting.

In other news, my wife and I share the keys to this blog. This is the place where we can let our hair down (among other things) and talk about things that are "unmentionable" on our other blogs. To lesson confusion about who is the author of each post, I guess we'll have to start signing each one. Leaving our real names is unacceptable though. We'll have to get busy tomorrow thinking of pen names.

So far we've shared two pictures of her and none of me. Maybe we'll snap some couples pics for HNT next week. I may as well be as brave and get my skin involved as well.
